An exchange begins with the asset and network you can send and ends with another coin delivered to the receiving details you provide. Save the exchange reference so you can follow the payment, confirmation and delivery stages without creating a second order.
For a standard exchange, there is no permanent trading balance to manage. The individual order records the selected assets, amount, receiving network and payment conditions.
Select the Exchange and Read Its Quote
Choose the actual balance in your wallet, including the network for a stablecoin. Then choose the asset and supported chain where you want the result.
The exchange quote describes your selected amount and its conditions. A chart or conversion table instead supplies a market reference and does not create a payment instruction.
Floating Estimate
The floating service charge is 0.39%. The receiving estimate can change as the market moves before execution.
Consider the full source spending budget as well as the estimate. Your sending wallet's charge may be paid separately from the amount entered.
Fixed Quote
The fixed service charge is 0.79%, with an 11-minute payment window. Holding the quote depends on meeting the amount and payment conditions displayed for the exchange.
The window concerns funding, not the total duration of the conversion. A source confirmation wait and delivery processing can extend beyond it.
Prepare the Recipient and Payment
Copy the receiving instructions from the wallet or platform you plan to use. Check its asset support, chain and any deposit minimum before the destination becomes part of the order.
Personal Wallet
Use the receiving function for the intended coin and chain. On Solana, a token mint identifies an asset and is not your personal wallet address.
Make sure you control the wallet and can access the balance after arrival. The recipient and token checklist explains the account distinctions.
Custodial Platform
Choose the deposit network explicitly and check whether deposits are enabled. A syntactically valid address does not establish that the platform will credit the asset you selected.
Compare the expected net arrival with its minimum. The platform's requirements apply in addition to the exchange's own limits.
Follow the State That Matches Your Exchange
The state tells you what has happened so far. Use it with the transaction evidence, rather than treating every wait as the same problem.
State
Meaning
Useful next action
Awaiting payment
The required deposit has not been recognised
Check whether you sent and whether a transaction reference exists
Confirming
Payment is waiting for required source confirmations
Inspect the existing source reference
Exchanging
Conversion is being processed
Keep the reference; do not fund another order
Sending
The receiving transfer is being prepared or submitted
Look for the destination reference when available
Completed
The service has completed delivery
Check the receiving wallet or platform balance
Review
Additional handling is required
Follow the support instructions for that order
A completed service transfer and a platform credit are different events. The recipient may apply further confirmation or account checks after the transfer is visible on-chain.
Understand What Can Delay Completion
Source network confirmation, conversion processing and receiving crediting have different clocks. The service-stage processing target is 4–12 minutes after the required source confirmations, excluding user payment time and reviews.
Total completion time also includes source confirmations and receiving-network processing. If a sending platform has not broadcast your payment, check its withdrawal status first.
A network outage can also make a supported direction temporarily unavailable. Check the status before sending rather than reusing old deposit instructions.
Deal with an Expired Quote or Different Deposit Amount
If a quote expired before you paid, request a new one. Reusing an older address or payment screen can produce a mismatch between the amount sent and the conditions accepted.
If you already paid late, short or in a different amount, save the transaction evidence and contact support. Do not add a second payment unless the instructions for resolving that exchange explicitly require it.
A possible return needs case review, a supported return destination and a clear explanation of charges. Wrong-chain deposits may not be recoverable.
Keep the Details That Make Support Useful
Record the exchange identifier and both selected networks. Each reference helps identify a particular step rather than repeating the same information.
Source hash or Solana signature: helps establish the payment's network status.
Receiving transfer reference: helps establish delivery where public evidence is available.
Status and time of observation: helps locate the current stage.
Error text or screenshot: helps explain what differed from the expected flow.
For Monero, a public explorer does not expose the received amount in the same way as a transparent chain. Use wallet-specific proof only when needed and share sensitive evidence through the appropriate private support channel.
These answers cover changes to an exchange and decisions before payment. Keep the existing reference and transaction record when asking about a conversion already funded.
Can I Change the Pair After Creating an Exchange?
Create a new quote before paying if you want another asset or network. After payment, ask support what is still possible instead of sending a different coin to the existing instructions.
Does Creating a Quote Move My Money?
Choosing assets and reading a quote does not by itself send a wallet payment. Authorising and submitting the source transfer is a separate action.
Which Fee Is Charged by My Wallet?
The source wallet or withdrawal platform sets the expense of sending your payment. It is separate from charges already included in the receiving estimate.
Do I Need to Pay Again When the Status Looks Stuck?
First inspect the transaction you already submitted. A display delay or confirmation wait does not establish that another payment is needed.
Can a Standard Exchange Require Extra Information?
An order may be reviewed under the service's applicable procedures. A standard flow without a trading profile does not remove all possible verification requests.
